Poll: Which Atlanta team inspires most, least confidence in future?

April 21, 2016 Atlanta - Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei (left) and Atlanta Braves Chairman and CEO Terry McGuirk talk during Atlanta Braves game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Turner Field on Thursday, April 21, 2016. HYOSUB SHIN / HSHIN@AJC.COM

Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei (left) and Braves Chairman and CEO Terry McGuirk are free to vote in poll that asks: Which of Atlanta’s pro sports teams inspires the most confidence in future? (Hyosub Shin / hshin@ajc.com)

I have posted a column on MyAJC.com on Atlanta three’s pro sports franchises: the Braves, Falcons and Hawks. The premise of the column isn’t to determine: Which team is the best (or worst)? It’s more about asking which of the three should inspire the most confidence in the future (or the least)?

In looking at all three, I came to the realization that a case could be made for all three being listed first (or last). No team has really separated itself. The Braves are potentially the most extreme example of this: They have the worst record in the major leagues (8-25) but they also have a minor-league system stocked with prospects . . . if you assume that the prospects pan out.

The full column is posted here at MyAJC.com.

Now it’s your turn. Which of the three franchises do you have the most confidence in?

I’m giving you six options to rank the three teams first, second and third. Vote in the poll and sound off!

You should have included a "none of the above" option in the poll.

@JeffSchultzAJC I think the Braves are on the right track. They have some good young arms. I have no idea what the Falcons are doing

It's really hard to say.  All 3 teams seem to be in constant rebuilding mode.  It does seem like the Braves are going about building the right way.

Those Bozos look like they couldn't care less.

They've got their salaries and stock options.

Notice how comfortable they are?

They look like they're waiting to hit the strip club after the game.

They all have potential, but which organization will put up the money for that difference maker.

Arthur Blank has killed the Falcons... Firing Dan Reeves was the worst mistake he ever made. He's the only person I know that Blank has Fired other than Coach Smith. But Reeves knows more about building a championship football team than anybody in the Falcon organization!

He's had the most success in Falcons history. AS OWNER. And all of his coaches.

You sure are obsessed with anything UGA.  This isn't even a UGA discussion yet your infatuation reeks of an unabashed, perverse obsession.

Do you suffer from Bulldog Penis Envy?

Thrashers.  The other three either stink outright, or choke when the moment is....right.

1.  Braves because they have the right plan.  They might not have the right talent evaluators   but they have the right blueprint.

2.  Hawks because they were headed to a championship until the PC crowd got Ferry.  If I owned the team at that time, I would have told the PC crowd to go sit on a snake.

 3.  Falcons last and would be last if there were a dozen options.  Mr. Blanks lost me when he watched Fantasy Football Dimitroff destroy the team.  Now to make matters worse, we have two "I hate lineman because they stuffed me in a locker when I was in high school" clowns still ignoring the lines.  A good GM and a good HC could have been hired instead of Quinn and turned this team around in two years.  Now after two horrible drafts, the core will be two years older and the last two draft classes contributing only two starters from each for the new GM/HC team.  We're staring at at 3 year turn around if they get started at the end of this season.  Matt and Julio are getting older.  Tick Tock.  .

With Kyle Shannahan calling the offense, the Falcons now inspire the least. As far as the Braves go, their performance is understandable. But theyve done their thing since Dale Murphy was around so, my hat's off to them! The Hawks have the most potentential. They just need to get past Cleveland. So the Hawks for #1 in Atlanta for me.

Most: Falcons. We aren't far off! Middle: Braves. They are young but they have a plan. They do have a plan, right? I just hope we aren't like some teams who "rebuild" for 20 years. Least: Hawks. They have no plans and no clue where they are going. If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there. Here's to hoping they pull the unbelievable and sign KD!

I see this photo of these jerks keeps hanging on, like their minor league team that "plays" at Turner Field.

Inspire the most: Braves (yes, they suck right now, but the future is bright.) Inspire the least: Hawks (they are condemned to the purgatory of always being just good enough to lose in the 2nd rd. of the playoffs.)
